Yiğit Özen
Painter, Architect, Designer. Born 1994 in Istanbul; lives and works between Istanbul, Milan and Luxembourg.

Yiğit Özen’s paintings develop around psychological and social tensions rooted in his personal history. In compositions that bring figuration and abstraction together, bodies, objects, and spaces share a common language of form and colour. Interpreting light through clusters of energy and mass through cellular structures, Özen reworks the anatomy of his figures and their relationships with their surroundings. He combines scenes and motifs drawn from art history and popular culture with personal experiences and elements that emerge during the painting process. Across surfaces that bring distinct brushmarks together with soft transitions of colour, the boundaries between figures and their surroundings partially dissolve.
Özen studied architecture at Istanbul Bilgi University and Politecnico di Milano. He began painting in Milan in 2018, working on canvas, paper, and cardboard. Between 2020 and 2025, he produced digital images and virtual environments under de-centralize. In 2026, he developed a new series of acrylic paintings in Luxembourg. He lives and works between Luxembourg and Milan.
